Royal Air Maroc expands its European network: new routes and 34% capacity increase
New routes to Germany
Royal Air Maroc continues its European expansion with the opening of three new strategic routes. Travelers can now fly to Frankfurt and Düsseldorf from Nador, as well as Munich from Casablanca. These new routes meet growing demand from the Moroccan diaspora in Germany and German tourists attracted to Morocco, which represents one of the most dynamic source markets for the kingdom.
The Casablanca-Munich route holds particular significance for the Mohammed V hub. It enriches the connecting options via Casablanca and allows travelers from Bavaria and southern Germany to easily access the airline's entire African and Middle Eastern network. The planned frequencies, with several weekly flights, provide valuable flexibility for both business and leisure travel.
A 34% capacity increase for the season
Beyond these new destinations, Royal Air Maroc's entire offering is experiencing a remarkable ramp-up. The airline has announced a 34% increase in air capacity for the 2025-2026 season, a figure reflecting both strengthened frequencies on existing routes and the addition of new ones. This growth is supported by the gradual modernization of its fleet, with the integration of new aircraft offering improved comfort and greater fuel efficiency.
For passengers transiting through Casablanca's Mohammed V Airport, this capacity increase translates concretely into a wider choice of schedules, more competitive fares thanks to increased supply, and improved connecting possibilities to African destinations. The Casablanca hub thus consolidates its position as the preferred gateway to the African continent for European travelers.
Easier connections for European travelers
This expansion strategy takes place in a favorable context for air transport between Europe and Morocco. Open sky agreements, the rise of Moroccan tourism, and Casablanca's growing attractiveness as a business destination all contribute to dynamic passenger flows. For European travelers, Royal Air Maroc's new routes offer practical, direct alternatives, avoiding long and costly connections through other hubs. Whether for a sunny vacation, a business trip, or a family visit, reaching Morocco from Germany has never been simpler or more accessible.
